This film is based off of the popular anime and manga series Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto. It was released in theaters in Japan on August 6th, 2005. The original Naruto movie was so popular that it earned this a sequel.
Plot
Uzumaki Naruto, Nara Shikamaru, and Haruno Sakura are sent on a mysterious mission, but in the middle of their quest they get attacked by an odd boy knight and a group of temu. In a final attempt to end the huge fight, Naruto uses his strongest attacks on the Temu people, but sends them all falling off of a cliff. When faced with a giant moving fortress, Shikamaru has to rescue them. For Shikamaru to grasp the situation, he has to sneak into the fortress. But in doing so, Shikamaru sees a terrible sight…
