Hi guys and gals, we’ve finally finished our preparation on our new project called TokyoTV (former called AnimeTV Beta). The new design is ready, the servers are running and all we need is You, Viewers and Streamers! That’s right, you’re allowed to stream your anime and to share your collection with all other people who watch the stream! All you need is a fast internet connection (at least 60 KByte/s upload) and a tool called nsvate.
Notice: I created a forum and posted several encoding tutorials. Use this for feedback, questions and suggestions, as well as encoding issues. TokyoTV Support Forum
Before you can stream an anime, you have to convert it into a nsv file:
1) Download converter codecs
2) Download free nsvate encoder
3) Download Winamp for free!
4) Install codecs and start nsvate.exe
5) Add the avi files you want to convert and choose the output format 16:9 or 4:3(to check which the format just view the anime in fullscreen mode, big black borders = 16:9)
6) Choose one of the profiles with VP6 16:9 or VP6 4:3 and start to convert the anime!
7) If it’s done, open the .nsv in Winamp player and check the bitrate.
If you have a slow internet connection (~ 50 KByte/s) or live far away from Europe (the relay server is in europe), then choose a low bitrate. A bitrate with 360 Kbps requires 360/8 = 42 KB/s upload speed. Your actual uploadspeed can be lower due to a high latency.
If you want to stream your file on TokyoTV, contact us through the contact form and include your ICQ, MSN or Yahoo UIN. We will contact you asap and show you how to stream.
