This manga is not quite finished, but so far I have really enjoyed it. Waiting for new release’s is the worst, but this story is worth it IMO.
Title is The hour of the Mice, by Kei Tome. and the guys at kotonoha are being kind enough to scan and translate it all for us! This series has been completed in Japan, and we are currently waiting for it to be completely translated and released! Check it out if it sounds good, even if it doesn’t… It won’t disappoint you! The only problem with that is RS is crap. downloads aren’t that fast and the time limit between downloads is stupid. I’d rather get them downloaded, upload it to a better hosting service (such as mediafire or even here at mangaunderground archives). Some people don’t remember that not everyone has a RS Premium, nor know how to bypass the waiting if they don’t.

I’d rather read scanlations than scans from major publishing companys usually, I don’t trust that the major business side of things will always translate accurately. Especially with some of the more “questionable” manga out there. So if there is any truth to anonymous spore being hired by Black horse for things like that, they get to go up 1 notch in my book :P (dark horse is a good company anyway IMO)

I just read Zombie Hunter. The end just came so suddenly that it was a surprise. It was a huge disappointment could have done many story plots. Anyways it was worth while though going to be disappointed with end. Thanks for upload.

Just like Yonekura Kengo’s Fire Candy. Some how some of the best mangas gets canceled because for their artists and writers.
Does any know if Mahou Sensei Negima Neo is going to be translated any more? I have chapters 00-02 and then it just stopped.

The hour of the Mice seems like an interesting read. At first it seemed like a rip-off of Kazuo Ishiguro’s 2005 book “Never Let Me Go” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Never_Let_Me_Go) but now I see the manga was published in 2004, perharps it was the other way around.

Just a note for all the SAO fans, the KORAB-scans release of SAO is missing the last 15 pages (which is an epilogue… they say they are going to release them later on). ETC will release the last two chapters SAO when they are ready and up to our normal standards.

Another Update of Sorts…
I stopped home early to pick up my Computer Case so I could work on some Ippo Chapters over the weekend and, after re-assembling it and adding in a Wireless Network Card and DVD-RW DL, what I believe happened is a loose screw caused a short inside My Case. What I know for a fact is that a large spark burst and then the room was filled with smoke and a burnt electronics smell…
I am fairly certain that my Motherboard is shot and, while testing parts of My Computer in a Backup, Test Computer, I have found that my Video Card and Wireless Network Card have gone bad as well. I believe my RAM is also dead as, when I tested it in my Backup Computer, the Backup Computer’s Motherboard ceased functioning as well. The status of my CPU, 500 GB SATA Boot Drive, and 1.2 TB RAID5 Array are currently unknown and I’ve run out of Backup Computers to test them out on at the moment.
Presently, the worst case scenario, across both computers is likely…
2 Dead Motherboards
2 Dead CPUs
3 GB of RAM
2 Dead PCI Video Cards
1 Dead PCI Wireless Network Card
1 Dead 500GB SATA HD
2 Dead DVD-RW DL Drives
1 Dead DVD-RW Drive
1 Dead PCI RAID Card
- 4 Dead 400GB IDE HDs from that RAID5 Array
4 Dead IDE HDs that I really don’t give a shit about in light of everything else
Throw in a PCI Express Video Card that died on me about a month ago and that’s probably at least two thousand dollars worth of Computer Parts down the drain. To add insult to injury, the warranty on most of these items expired just last week.
Given that I’m presently in the process of moving to another city, finding a place to live, and finding a new job… Yeeeeeeah, I have no idea what I’m going to do about this especially since Money is a BIG factor in my present condition. Needless to say, I have no idea when I’m going to be able to work on Ippo again.
Before this happened, the current status of Ippo Projects were:
Sendo Gaiden
- Translated
- Completely Typeset
- Preliminary Editing Done
- In the Process of being Mopped/Cleaned
Round 810
- Translated
Should the data on my HDs not be recoverable, the bulk of what would need to be re-done on Sendo Gaiden is that it would need to be re-typeset, some parts of the Script that Onimaru and I changed during the editing process will probably need to be re-done again or pulled from his AIM logs, and the color splash page will need to be done over as I believe Sorwah still has the Preliminary Edited RAWs and is still in the process of Cleaning them up. Also, I had just spent the better part of last week re-calibrating My Computer for optimal results from LQ editing and that will need to be re-done all over again.
I feel like something more should be said, but after staying up all night trying to fix this somehow, but I don’t feel like I have the energy to do that especially since I have a pile of jobs that I need to apply to with using good cover letters that I have yet to write and I have no idea how I’m going to muster up the gusto and enthusiasm to do that…

I’ve seen idiots like you who want “Accurately Translated” manga have done to the market. The prices have barely dropped and the quality has dropped 80% and has caused ALL published manga to turn into nearly equal CRAP as it’s native releases are!

Hey Chrono, why don’t you read the context of the statement before jumping all over me. All i said was I would be happy to know that what az060693 said was true.
Its a fact that all media is filtered for content going into any country. You can’t argue with that. To see anime how it is was originally aired in japan you have to buy the “uncut” versions.
Where you got the idea that I use that as an excuse not to buy manga as opposed to downloading scan’s I don’t know. I believe the groups such as Binktopia, Snoopycool, Frankyhouse, etc etc etc do a better job translating than most commercial translations. You get alot more insight into the culture with editor’s notes as well, instead of “localization” which completly rewrites parts of storys so that it will “make better sense” to the English audience.
That is just what I believe, and I think most of it can be backed up in fact if you look at most anime or manga. That said, I think anyone should buy manga or anime they enjoy as opposed to downloading (or at least do both) if it has been licensed. Supporting the Mangaka’s by supporting the license is very important. If you enjoy an author you should do what you can to support them.
So chill out and get off your high horse.
