I will hijack this post from Ebi ^^
Update: Hi guys & gals. Right at the moment we’re working on our new project called ROME, a groupware and project management site for scanlators and fansubbers, where they can keep track of their project and member status. That’s why we’re raising funds in order to finance the new project and why we have no static donation goal. My thanks go to all donators, who helped us before! Your donations help us to become more efficient ad flexible than before. Oh! Our forum has an additional top level domain: http://www.jcafe24.com . Of course you can also use http://jcafe.vnmanga.com like you did before, but I think the new domain is much easier to remember, isn’t it?

Or at least thats what the media is liking to call it! Anyway, Ebi here, I just thought I’d post this quick. Its a video of whats going on in the town I live in currently. You can find news clips on cnn.com or any of the other major news sites as well.
Although I am in no threat of the Waters reaching where I live, It has been causing frequent power outage’s and internet connections being dumped. So if I stop posting updates for a few days… Here is why:
Drive by pictures and a (shaky) video at the end. Taken at noon on June 13th. I drove by on the 12th about the same time, and the difference was very large. The Crane that is underwater in these pictures was on dry land less than 24 hours before this.

What caused the flood?
June 13th, 2008 at 10:19 AM
TOns, and tons, and TONS of rain over the last few weeks, nothing failed, just massive amounts of water.

I think the water level is expected to crest later today, at about 35 feet. The normal level for us is about 12. The bad floods of ‘93 only raised that to about 23 feet. so this is incredible, I’m going down later to take some pictures of my own while its at its peak.

lol yeah, make some pictures of your room as well XD i want to see how you cope with the desaster. Did the evacuation skip your area?

My area of town won’t get hit by the water, We’re on higher ground than most the city. Just the power outage’s, and water shortage is the only thing that effects me directly(besides having friends that lost alot right down near the river).

shortage of water is evil, but eve worse will be the number of gnats ^^
Do you have shortage of medication or food?

Here in France (and germany?) it rains since ~2 month, almost everyday… The strange thing is there’s a sunny weather then suddenly it rains a hella lot then the sun comes again (with nice temperature, like 25°celsius). Never saw something like that in all my life (seems some country is testing secrets weapons lol).
