Well it would be down right silly to call a 2 volume manga a one-shot, now wouldn’t it!
But seriously anything a story is full, or if the author is experimenting and doesn’t know if they’ll use that method or not, told and isn’t larger than a single book it’s usually called a one-shot for simplistity. Unlike a compilation of story’s in a single volume, which is a anthology.

Alive! isn’t really what I consider a one shot either my self, I just see it listed as such everyone so I followed suit.
Either way, one shot or not, its a great read!

Like Chrono siad, a manga that is only 1 volume long can be consitered a one-shot (alothough i dont like to refer to them as that, as i dont like refering to a full manga as something thats also used to call 15 page mangas).
Also Assassin Story isn’t a “manga”, its a manhua, because its chinese, not japanese.

@blah, well, seams not, just checked there site but didn’t bother to read the hole post [when you check the site every day a few times a day you tend to oversee the obvious and react like: OH, NEW manga! YAY!]
btw, noticed gantz chapter 275 and 276 are out, well it’s good, since 276 seam to actually be going back to the fucking plot! this is a great read but let’s be serious, the DBZ-like story arks don’t work well here, not with a chapter every other weak, now if they had 2 or 3 ch a week then yeah it would work since we would be getting some story done as well, but as it is now, i mean what we had this story ark since when last phase what was that volume 20 or 21, were already at 25 guys! i am beginning to lose my patience [not to mention hope!]

Hey Silv, seems like Eden has already ended in Japan (look in Ritual Scan Forge). Are you reading the raws? Is the end good? How much do i have to wait to read it in english?

wow a new hiroaki samura one shot
i wish we could get the end of blade of the immortal instead of this! anyone know if anyone is picking that up now?
oh and eden is amazing. i might try and help out with proof reading if it will speed up the releases…
i also may re-read eden from the beginning, im losin track of whats happening!
