Bulgai. they were planning on doing freesia for a long time. But didn’t have any translator. But they were lucky, they found a translation script at some site.

Nice update with some new mangas. The Jesus&Buddha thingy looks funny, I Am Hero seems worth a look, too. Shigurui is just too gross for my taste ;P a pity, since I like the idea of crippled swordsmen. Other sword-related manga rarely pick up this topic.
btw, who votes only one star all the time?? Nobody is forced to do the 10 out 10, but one star (even more in the comments area), I consider that as spam, not as an evaluation :/

Thanks for the updates – I’ve read Manga Underground for ages but never posted. It’s a great concept and you should keep it up.
Anyway, Shigurui ch55 is scanlated as well now, so one of the authors might want to update with that as well.
On Shigurui generally, it’s an excellent manga
- very highly recommended from me at least!

agree with shigurui, its v good. i like these mature manga where characters psychology is revealed, like ichi the killer which i’m re-reading at the moment. gonna finish shigu after that..
anyone know any seinen Yakuza mangas i havent read!? :)

if you repack some raws and release them as torrent on nyatorrents.com and tokyotosho.com, adding the website link of manga underground then you will help the site to its old glory and boost the site stats to 18,000 hits a day, like it used to be.

Only a version 2 with errorfixes, including missing pages, translated omakes and colored cover would justify a 2nd release. That’s something the work of the typesetter. Releasing some random raws is the easier way to drive traffic to this site ^^. Fetching some jcafe raws should be easier.

Thanks for the Eden release, my favorite manga off all times, when i started reading manga i started with first 3 volumes of Eden, and still keeep going
i wonder what HOx is thinking now going all out on “Gambling Emperor Legend Zero”, i havent read it is it good? I love some series he started to translate like Historie, Vinland saga or shiguri but he changes quick and stops translating them i hope he goes back :)

To answer your question Pares, I am still working on Historie and Vinland Saga (never did Shigurui, that’s spore’s work) but I’m already caught up with the latest series. It’s not that I haven’t stopped translating them but I’m just waiting for the new raws to come out. As for Gambling Emperor Zero, it’s really a fun read. The first few chapters might be slow but once it picks up, it does not slow down. I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you’ve ever enjoyed any of Fukumoto’s other works such as Akagi or Kaiji. So if you have the time, please check it out, I have the first two volumes translated on http://www.mediafire.com/hox

Chunchu-i heard of this, but never read it. mangaupdates say vol4ch22 is latest scanlated, but from late last year. seems it’s been dropped
King of Thorns- same again, noone scanlating it. i thought it had been completed though.. hmmm.

thank you very much for your translations and releases, i know you continue doing translations recenly a chapter of Historie(i liked kiseijuu a lot too), the problem is that when i start reading a manga that is new to me i read all thes is availbible in onse shot and then every little relesre feels small, its not your fault nor author fault its my fault to be that addict :), if you say is good i will read it since i like most of the mangas you choose

Afaik, Jackals and King of Thorns both were scanlated by Strays but they appear to be dead or at least out of a translator. Luckily, at least Vagabond was picked up by NSN.

Thx for the quick reply mono. I googled a bit and discovered that AGN scans has picked up Chunchu, but they need a korean translator for it. The manwha seems very promising from the 22 chapters scanlated so far.

@humbug: I stopped doing Dangu. Dark Horse Comics has been publishing it and volume 7 is scheduled to be released June 3 (http://www.darkhorse.com/Books/Upcoming). They haven’t dropped it so I’m just letting Dark Horse finish.
No one’s volunteered to be Eden translator yet, I guess? You guys should recruit more heavily for translators. I don’t plan on doing volumes 17 and 18.

@Eden translator: If you don’t find a jap -> eng translator, you could try to find e.g. ger -> eng (and buy the german volumes with a donation-call), as in Germany vol 17 is out and vol 18 will be in a few month.
I don’t have time to do this, though ;) But if I remember right, Feanor is German, too, and he is a scanlator. He hangs around at rippersanime. Maybe he is willing to help.
Or maybe other coutries have completed Eden, too.

I just want to thank crazy and mono for their relentless pursuit of giving us as much info about manga as possible.
HOX- I don’t see anywhere elese i could officially thank you. So a big thank you for you as well…vinland and historie are definitely at the top of my reading list (esp. Vinland). Gambling emperor zero too….now I only wish that other releases could be as frequent/fast as yours. You scanlation speed is unmatched.
