   Helter Skelter really is weird. I think it’s josei? Kind of Seinen for women, right? With drugs, sexual abuse and a lot of psychological violence. It’s scary!

    Added Ravages of Time, Gambling emperor, Shigurui and Übel Blatt but I could only find 7-09. When crazy is back, he’ll probaly add the rest of it.

    Subarashii Sekai seems good indeed. The teddybear reminds me of Afro Samurai btw…

    P.S.: Oh, just because I wondered if Helter Skelter was josei, that doesn’t meant to imply that that was bad or that it would not fit. Actually I think it fits well with the series you guys recently brought up. (Voyeur, The world is mine, etc.)

    Errr…friends? Can anyone tell me what Übel Blatt is about? Reading it kind of feels as if panels were missing – I don’t get what’s going on in this last chapter at all – the heros advance into some land behind a border and suddenly it’s not 11 anymore but 4 and then on the next page they’re covered in blood and it appears as if they died, but an era of heros begins, which kind of implies that they have not died but completed their mission…arrrrgh, what?

    It feels as if half of the storytelling panels are skipped.

    It’s a flashback sequence so I guess the missing part(s) will be included at appropriate moments in the story, like when Koinzell faces one of the seven for example.

    But so far the flashback didn’t really tell us much that we didn’t already know, except who the 11 were, imo.

    Hell yeah, thanks for Gambling Emperor Zero. Respectively – has this other gambling Manga, that one with the guy called Mouse been dropped?

    About Mangas that I don’t pick up to (other than Übel Blatt) I don’t get what’s going on in Ravages of Time. How am I supposed to keep in mind who is who? They all are superhuman warriorkings with similar names and armors. I don’t even get who’s on what side…oh man.

    But it’s still great art and storytelling, I bet.

    @Anonymous: I think nobody knows that. It is officially on hiatus and it’s still written in the stars whether it’ll ever continue.

    @Krummbart: I searched a bit: afaik we have 3 gambling mangas here, but bad news:
    - Usogui, 3 ch.s scanlated, all posted here (but 11 volumes and ongoing)
    - Riman Gambler Mouse (the one you mentioned), 4 ch.s scanlated, we posted the first 3. At Endless Abyss (the scan-team), the DL section is down (hopefully momentarily only), so I’m sorry, no fourth chapter ;) (4 volumes, complete)
    - Gambling Emperor Legend Zero (8 volumes, ongoing)
    By Fukumoto Nobuyuki, the author of GELZ, there are two more gambling-mangas: “Akagi” and “Keiji”

    I dropped Übel Blatt, too. A pity, as the battle scenes are promising. But the elves and witches-topic is not my thing and the pseudo german terms are just too funny for me^^

    Shigurui ch58 is out now as well. When AnonymousSpore start translating – they really shift. I hope they/he/she carries on to volume 12…

    *SPOILERS*

    If any fans of Shigurui are wondering what the crap is going on with the frog guy at the moment – he’s another character from the novel which Shigurui is based on (Suruga-jou Gozen Jiai). The first chapter of said novel, Mumyo Sakanagare, revolves around Fujiki and Irako – each chapter from then on focuses on one of several duels at the Sunpu castle tournament seen in volume one. Takayuki Yamaguchi is, I’d guess, going to do several of these little side stories (ch58 is the last frog-guy chapter) in the next few volumes – and then bring them all together for the final battle at Sunpu – which obviously climaxes with Irako vs. Fujiki.

    The only other character I know from Suruga-jou Gozen Jiai is a masochist swordsman, who is sure to turn up soon.

    I wish I could find the original text of the novel in English….

    I’ve heard great things about Ravages of Time (and I loved Dynasty Warriors when I was a kid) – and it’s actually next on my own list to read.

    So yeah, I’d recommend it.

    I just wanted to thank you guys for taking care of the EDEN translation project. I think I read up to vol8 years ago but stopped cause there were no one releasing new chapters at that time. I’m surprised that the project has survived and it seems you guys are the ones taking care of it now. The story is as good as I remembered it and translation quality has remained good too. Good luck and thanks again for allowing this anon to enjoy a few more volumes of this great series.

    Hey mono, i tried RoT again. The ones not working are 1-5 and 10-13, they just give me an error message in the browser. The rest seems to be working fine so I’ll try the almighty google search for the ones I’m missing.

    Don’t know many people that like manga unfortunately. Here in Norway there is little culture for comics except for newspaper cartoons (Calvin & Hobbes, Dilbert) or typical Disney comics (Donald Duck). I’ve seen a couple of norwegian manga forums but they mostly consist of teenagers who like One Piece, Naruto etc, aka: “stuff i don’t like”. ;)

    @Blame!: Strange indeed. It IS scanned completely, its even available on onemanga.com. Maybe the scanlation is too old for mangaupdates.com to be registered? Anyway, I don’t think we have to post the “new” chapters…

    @Veritas: Ah ok. So this Guesong must be strong as hell. I like the strong guys who are not in the main “They-are-so-strong”-cast. Like Honse, I hope we get some action in a flashback for him, some day.

    Yeah, Nihei-stuff was one of my first mangas (my first was BAA. I think your first manga in a way socialises you for your later manga-reading-career^^). Nowadays Nihei is not on top of my wishlist anymore but still way above average.

    @Veritas: haha, yes, Madoka is quite a chick ;)
