Crazyankan, I give TMD a 7,9 out of 10. It’s entertaining and can surely give you some insight on how hospital structure works. But it’s not as educating as other manga because it’s too highly medical. It’s like watching Dr House. You watch it for the boobs and skirt jokes, not for the actual medical stuff.

For Uber Blatt, you need to read more one volume to like it. I can’t remember which volume it is where the main storyline comes in but it’s worth the wait if you like a decent plot. Try and not to judge it after reading the earliest chapters; it was quite bad I thought.

Unlike BM, TMD is not boring and you actually anxiously wait to see what will happen on the next episode. I wonder why so much effort is currently being put into BM with all the updates. After ch. 55 I couldn’t stand it any more.

well,since I am not reading Bloody Monday and I have not read the best things about it lately,people here also seem not to like it that much,so I guess there’s no point in keeping uploading it,maybe I will ask at the next post what people think.

about Ubel Blatt,I only read a few chapters,I don’t really like the shota look look of the main character,but I like the action.

About Bloody Monday. I think our readers are used to read series with actual touching content. Maybe you should only post series that you are actually reading. Don’t post stuff just for the names or cool covers.

Just in case it didn’t come out right, I didn’t mean to be rude to any of you guys for updating the site with content (even if it’s Bloody Monday). I really love this site because it introduced me to a lot of manga that was worthwhile (doro, tmd, eden, vagabond, among many others). After posting I was worried whether I would be the only one that didn’t like BM. I’m relieved to see that others share that opinion. I guess my disappointment with BM is that it tries to be what other mangas have already achieved to become. The whole “I outsmarted you… but wait, no, actually you outsmarted me” thing is getting a bit old for me. Not to mention the young 16yr old genius hacker fighting another young genius on the other side.

Personally, I actually do follow Bloody Monday. While it’s not a series that gets me really excited… the art is pleasant, the story is decent and the releases are flying out the door.

And I totally agree on the stuff we put here,I mostly post manga I am reading and sometimes stuff that I definitely plan to read,most of the times I check out some chapters before putting the manga here,if I see there’s not much interest around a series here,I stop uploading it,it’s not like there are that many brilliant manga out there to choose from.
and don’t worry tomtom,everything you said was fine,all our visitors opinions are more than welcome :)

btw I meant brilliant ongoing manga,I think I only need the fingers from my two hands to count them and all of them are released once a month,if we are lucky.That’s my opinion and I will stick with it.As for stuff that’s already complete,indeed there are many hidden treasures out there :)
btw I will upload some stuff later since people kept on mentioning here and the links are dead,something from one of my favorite mangaka.
also I have been thinking of Shintaro Kago’s work,but he might be too much ….he is really something else…as someone said:he is the most fucked up man in Japan.lol

BM is no more cliche than Tough or Veritas, which are consistently updated here. But I would like to see more in the vein of Koroshiya Ichi, MPD Psycho, and even the early volumes of Shamo before it became painfully repetitive and random.

Orfik – i disagree.
Tough and Veritas are decent martial arts manga with above average artwork, IMO at least.
the main difference is i actually read both of them, too :P
also, titles like those you mentioned, would be great! but i dont know of any ongoing stuff on par with those atm… maybe vinland
i thought the shamo was all on here somewhere. but i cant find it.
maybe we should up it all. its a big job though.

mono: I like BM’s artwork, it reminds me of a less skilled MPD Psycho style. Veritas is… decent, that’s the perfect word. Very funny sometimes. Tough is just MMA Naruto. But it could be worse. We could all be reading Air Gear ;).
There’s a few. Eden, obviously. I wish there was something I could do to help that effort since it’s the best serialized manga since Akira as far as I’m concerned. Homunculus, Ciguatera, .. can’t think of much else at the moment.
Just go to manga traders if you want all of shamo.

Shintaro Kago is brilliant when he wants to be but he just indulges in overtly grotesque images many many many times. Still, when he’s drawing some of his “lighter” stuff, I’d say he’s the best mangaka for black humour. If anybody ever wanted to check out some of his stuff here’s a list (it’s long but all are short oneshots with the exception of Dance Kremlin Palace so it’s quick to get through them)

I recently read Harakiri,it is suppose to be one of Shintaro Kago’s “lighter” stuff,I did find it hilarious,loved the black humor but it’s definitely not for everyone.

hi and, first of all, thanks for the work of collecting the updates on a useful page!
->on BM: i read the first 2 vol, but if “outsmarting you” is letting ppl eavesdrop your secret conversations, then no thanks, liar game and mahjong mangas suffices well at that -for me at least
->veritas may have not-so-awesome plot or originality (even if the plot develops nicely) but the art is f%&$£§k AWESOME, and in many ways, even the scenes composition and the layout is very well thought
->shintaro Kago is definitely a man to check out! dance kremlin palace is a blast (esp if you know a bit of storic background) and all-around his work is at least original and inspired:)

no im not really new to the site: i follow the releses of eden for some time already, as i used to read it paper when it was released here in italy years ago
then when im late getting my mangascans on weekends, i sometimes come here to have it already sorted for me :) so i don’t have to go to everyone scans site for the series i follow (too many…)
im usually in a hurry tho, so often i dont spend much time here, bu now its summer you know
