zombieT: lol, i just liked some of the earlier chapters where he used his crazy sword to cut through the whole landscape, i thought it was pretty cool. but yeah.
i thought about a poll type thing, where people can vote on series we feature, then we would know which ones readers like and which to drop etc…?

The MU DL link leads to the big Wild Fang Project batch release-torrent but it only contains the first chapter. It was pretty cool and WFP should have released the whole first volume…

@mono: right, SBR goes as a seperate series. i don’t know all the stuff that happened before, myself. It HAS a connection to the previous parts but its very loose.

so you’ve read some Shintaro Kago manga,CG.that’s great,but yeah,I guess his stuff is too hentai-ish sometimes to put it here and while his stuff can be quite funny I also find some things to be way to much for me :)

There’s a blatant Kim Byung Jin influence (Jackals, Chonchu) in Utopia’s Avenger. I could hardly get past this. Character’s poses, like the guard’s hand on his sword on page 3-4, the design of the clothes and how they fold, the characters’ muscles and build…
However, KBJ’s style is much more mature, here the drawer makes it look like a rather conventional, typical manhwa.
By the way, has Chonchu been presented here? The art is great, the story is mature and interesting, though underexploited. 15 tomes, currently on hold/stopped (with a huuuge cliffhanger) because the authors were offered to make a manhwa based on FFXI… As for scans, I think no team is doing them at the moment, it’s stopped around chapter 22.

yeah its very like jackals, but Utopia’ was out a few years before Jackals :P
i agree that KYJ’s style is certainly superior (in my eyes anyway)

Yep, Dämons turned out to be not so good. The main char is just lame, its boring to follow the story of an uber-cool-char with only revenge in his head.
@Doro: Im through. And I’m as much confused as you are… could we brainstorm all the things happened somewhere or does anyone know a nice forum where people posted some decent theories? :/

Yeah mono, Jackals started later, but the main inspiration is really Chunchu, which started earlier (2000 I think). When did UA begin? Anyway, doesn’t really matter.
Chunchu is good, but frustrating: the beginning was very promising with political struggle between neighbouring countries, characters with some depth, although not completely original (brooding and cursed hero, evil king twin brother, the always smiling reformed psycho, the childhood companion whose love is unrequited…). Then it starts dragging. And dragging. And dragging. And when things finally start moving again, it stops. Aaaaaaaah. It was really my biggest frustration for a while.

The art in Dangu indeed looks amazing but no one has been releasing any new chapters for it in a long time so I did not start reading it yet,maybe if someone completes it then I will give it a try.
